Zendesk holds a wide lead for knowledge base ticket support, surfacing relevant articles to assist agents during ticket resolution. When teams specifically ask for builders that suggest articles inside the ticket view, no single brand stands out as the favorite.
Several helpdesk platforms offer a built-in knowledge base builder that recommends relevant articles directly inside the ticket view. The closest matches I found are Freshdesk, Zendesk, and Jitbit Helpdesk. The key distinction is whether you want articles suggested to support agents while they work a ticket, or a tool that also helps you create and expand the knowledge base.

One question that would help me narrow this down: Which helpdesk software do you use today? I can then identify whether it already supports this feature or recommend knowledge-base tools that integrate with it, so you don't have to replace your entire helpdesk.
To have articles automatically recommended while your agents are typing or reviewing customer tickets, you are looking for an Agent Assist / Copilot capability.
Your options generally fall into three categories: native helpdesk knowledge bases (if your ticketing system already has a strong built-in KB), dedicated enterprise knowledge bases (that plug into multiple apps via extensions/integrations), and AI-native knowledge platforms.
1. Native Helpdesk Knowledge Bases (Best for zero-friction setup)
If you are already using a major helpdesk platform, turning on their native AI copilot or contextual side-panel is usually the easiest path because data sync is instant.
Intercom (Fin / Articles): Great if your support is chat-heavy or conversational; it suggests articles to both the end-user (deflection) and the human agent in real time.
2. Dedicated Knowledge Bases with Agent Integrations (Best for standalone KBs)
If your documentation lives outside your helpdesk (or you use multiple tools), these platforms provide robust authoring tools and connect directly into popular helpdesks.
Zendesk — AI automatically recommends relevant Help Center articles inside the Agent Workspace; Auto Assist can also use articles and other knowledge to suggest resolutions.
Freshdesk — Freddy AI recommends solution articles as agents open tickets, with controls to scope recommendations.
Salesforce Service Cloud — Einstein Article Recommendations analyzes Cases and suggests relevant Knowledge articles.
— can use internal/external knowledge sources including Confluence, , , PDFs, and imports.

Guru — best if you want a knowledge layer across multiple helpdesks; Knowledge Triggers proactively surface relevant information in Zendesk and other tools.
My shortlist: If you already use Zendesk/Freshdesk/Salesforce, start with their native AI. If knowledge spans multiple systems, evaluate Guru or Intercom.
