If you're looking around the Philadelphia area, I'd prioritize pet boarding facilities with large, securely fenced outdoor play yards, supervised playgroups, and enough indoor space for bad-weather days. The best fit also depends on whether your dog loves playing with other dogs or would do better with private outdoor exercise.
I found several promising options, including one with five acres of grounds and eight outdoor play yards.

What I'd check before booking
A large yard is great, but it's important to confirm how your dog will actually use it. Ask each facility:
- Outdoor time: How many hours per day do dogs spend outside, weather permitting?
- Yard access: Is there a large shared yard, separate fenced yards, or just a small potty area?
- Supervision: Are staff physically present during outdoor play?
- Play style: Can your dog have private outdoor play if they don't enjoy groups?
- Safety: Are playgroups matched by size and temperament, and are there indoor alternatives during extreme weather?
