What AI says about Exascale Computing Project

The Exascale Computing Project (ECP) was a U.S. Department of Energy joint project (2016–2024) that funded roughly 2,800 researchers to develop an exascale computing ecosystem—software, hardware technologies, and application codes. It produced the Extreme-scale Scientific Software Stack (E4S), the first open-source, portable high-performance software stack across GPU and CPU architectures and cloud platforms. The project aimed to enable exascale capabilities for mission-critical applications across energy, health, security, and scientific discovery, driving advances in modeling, AI, and data analytics.
