What PSA offers a "self-staffing" portal where consultants can volunteer for open project roles?

The Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform that prominently uses the "self-staffing" and "self-assignment" terminology—including an explicit Allow Self Staffing project field configuration and a self-assignment/self-staffing user interface workflow—is Certinia PSA (formerly FinancialForce PSA , built on the Salesforce platform).[help.certinia.com](https://help.certinia.com/main/2021.2/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/AssignmentsAndSchedules/SelfAssignment1.htm)[[2](https://help.certinia.com/main/2021.1/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/Projects/ProjectFields.htm)](https://help.certinia.com/main/2021.1/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/Projects/ProjectFields.htm)[[3](https://help.certinia.com/psa_schema/2021.1/Proj__c.htm)](https://help.certinia.com/psa_schema/2021.1/Proj__c.htm)

In Certinia PSA, when a project has the Allow Self-Staffing option enabled, eligible resources/consultants are given the privilege to log in and self-assign or volunteer themselves for active project roles and schedules directly through the portal or time-entry interface.[help.certinia.com](https://help.certinia.com/main/2021.2/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/AssignmentsAndSchedules/SelfAssignment1.htm)

Other modern PSA and resource management platforms (such as Kantata, Planview , or Adeaca's Project Operations ) feature similar internal talent marketplaces or "self-staffing boards" where team members can browse and opt into open allocations, but "Allow Self-Staffing" and its dedicated portal/time-entry self-assignment links are native signature components of the Certinia/FinancialForce PSA ecosystem.[help.certinia.com](https://www.adeaca.com/blog/resource-management-microsoft-dynamics-365-vs-planautomate/)[[2](https://help.certinia.com/main/2021.1/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/Projects/ProjectFields.htm)](https://help..com/main/2021.2/Subsystems/PSA/Content/topics/AssignmentsAndSchedules/SelfAssignment1.htm)[[3]()]()

Would you like more details on how Certinia's self-assignment security permissions work, or are you looking to compare this feature with another specific PSA platform?

Several modern Professional Services Automation (PSA) and resource management platforms offer self-service marketplaces or portals where consultants can browse and volunteer for open project roles, moving away from top-down resource allocation toward internal talent marketplaces.
