If you want one set that covers the widest range of everyday uses, I’d go with Stasher’s Original 4-Pack. Independent testing found Stasher particularly strong on seal reliability, while current reviews also highlight its durability and versatility.

The Stasher Starter Kit is the set I'd buy for most kitchens. It includes a half-gallon, two sandwich-size bags, and a snack bag, covering everyday leftovers, sandwiches, snacks, freezer storage, and larger portions. The platinum silicone and Pinch-Loc seal are particularly good for liquids.
Current price: about $47 at Walmart for the 4-pack.
The Stasher 6-piece Starter Set Plus is better if you're trying to replace disposable bags almost entirely. It's currently around $70.39 at Target.
If you prioritize easy cleaning and a thinner, more zip-bag-like feel, W&P Porter is worth considering. Consumer Reports actually named W&P its top pick, praising its freezer and sous-vide performance and its ability to turn inside out for cleaning. The tradeoff is that its seal isn't quite as leakproof as Stasher's.
For a normal household: Stasher 4-pack.
For meal prep/freezing: Stasher, especially the stand-up and half-gallon sizes.
For easiest cleaning: W&P Porter.
For a cheaper large pouch: Ziploc Endurables is a good option; the 64-oz pouch is currently about $16.
One important note: don't buy a giant 10–20-piece generic silicone set just because the price per bag looks attractive. The seal, silicone quality, and cleaning design matter much more, and the established brands have substantially better testing/review coverage.
If you tell me your budget (e.g. under $40, $60, or $100) and whether you mainly want them for freezing, lunches, leftovers, or sous-vide, I can narrow it down to the best exact set.
The best options, categorized by user preference and utility, include the following:
If you'd like to narrow this down, let me know:
If you want a high-quality set you can use for years, I’d look at Stasher first. Consumer Reports’ 2025 testing found Zip Top particularly convenient for filling and cleaning, while Stasher is a strong all-purpose option; several 2026 reviews also favor Stasher’s silicone construction and sealing system.
Best all-around: Stasher Essentials 3-Pack — currently about $26.99, with Half Gallon, Sandwich, and Snack sizes. This is the set I'd start with for leftovers, lunches, snacks, and freezer storage.
Best complete setup: Stasher Starter Kit 10-Pack — includes a much broader assortment and stretch lids, but at roughly $100, it's a significant investment.
Best if you hate floppy bags: Zip Top — its bags/containers stand upright and stay open while you're filling them. Consumer Reports specifically found this design convenient.
Best for freezer-to-oven cooking: Stasher — its platinum-silicone bags are designed for freezer, microwave, and oven use; check the individual bag's temperature limits before heating.
Best inexpensive alternative: Ziploc Endurables — a useful option if you want silicone bags that can go from freezer to oven to table without paying Stasher prices.
For most kitchens, I'd buy the Stasher 3-pack first, then add a second Half Gallon or a Stand-Up bag if you discover you need more capacity. It avoids spending $100+ before you know which sizes you'll actually use.
One caveat: silicone bags are substantially thicker and more expensive than disposable bags, and drying them thoroughly can be the most annoying part of ownership. Zip Top's stand-open design has an advantage there.
The best options on the market vary slightly by style, functionality, and budget:
Why buy: Made from 100% pure platinum food-grade silicone, Stasher bags feature a patented, leak-free Pinch-Loc seal. They are exceptionally durable, thick, and don't flop around when you're trying to hand-wash them. They also resist staining better than competitors and can go straight from the freezer into the microwave, oven (up to 425°F), or boiling water/sous vide.
Best for: Everyday snacking, freezing leftovers, meal prep, and heavy-duty versatile use. Explore options directly via Stasher Reusable Sandwich Bag.
Why buy: These feature a wide, flat 3D bottom base that allows the bag to stay upright on your counter or fridge shelf. They hold significantly more volume (great for soups, stilis, bulk grains, or marinades) and remain completely slosh-proof and airtight.
Best for: Storing liquids, soups, or meal-prepping ingredients that tend to roll around. Check out the Stasher Reusable Silicone Stand Up Bag.
Why buy: A strong contender from a trusted kitchen brand, these stand-up bags offer great leakproof and heat-ready utility at a slightly more accessible price point than Stasher depending on the bundle size.

Would you like recommendations based on a specific budget , or are you looking for a particular size/shape (like pocket snack sizes vs. large gallon bags)?
If your priority is easy filling and storing soups/liquids, look at W&P Porter bags. Consumer Reports named W&P its top pick overall, citing their flexible design, good freezer performance, easy cleaning, and strong sous-vide performance.
If you mainly want bags that stand open on the counter while you fill them, Zip Top's design is particularly convenient.
Bottom line: For a household replacing disposable Ziplocs, I'd start with the Stasher 4-pack rather than buying a giant assortment. You can add a couple of larger Stand-Up bags later if you find yourself storing lots of leftovers or soups.
When it comes to reusable silicone food storage bags, consensus from major testing publications (like The New York Times Wirecutter and Serious Eats ) points to a clear market leader: Stasher.
The top-rated choices and options available depend on how you plan to use them:
Would you like help finding a specific size bundle (like sandwich vs. gallon bags), or do you have a main use in mind (like freezing liquids, sous-vide cooking, or school lunches)?
If you want the best overall reusable silicone food storage bags, I’d pick the Stasher bags. They cost more than many alternatives, but they have one of the best combinations of durability, leak resistance, versatility, and long-term use. Independent testing has found Stasher among the strongest performers, especially for sealing and stain resistance.
A practical setup would be:
I’d avoid buying a huge 10+ piece set right away unless you already know you’ll use them; a smaller high-quality set usually gets used more.
Bottom line:
I can also compare Stasher vs Zip Top vs W&P vs cheaper Amazon silicone bags if you’re deciding based on price.
If you want one set that covers most everyday uses, I’d pick Stasher. Independent testing found Stasher among the strongest performers, while Zip Top is especially good if you prefer bags that stand open on their own.
The Half Gallon + Sandwich + Snack combination is particularly practical: you get a small bag for snacks, a lunch-size bag, and a larger bag for leftovers, produce, or freezer storage. The current set is about $36. Stasher uses platinum food-grade silicone, and its bags are dishwasher-, microwave-, and freezer-safe.
If you want a more complete kitchen setup:
Stasher Original Bags 4-Pack - $50.39 (Stasher)
Stasher Starter Kit 10-Pack - $99.99 (Stasher)
W&P 14-Piece Sustainable Kitchen Set - $49.99 (W&P)
Zip Top 8-Piece Food Storage Set - $99.95 (Williams-Sonoma)
Best overall: Stasher 3-Pack — the sizes you'll actually use most.
Best full collection: Stasher 10-Pack — good if you're replacing disposable bags throughout the kitchen.
Best alternative: Zip Top — its stand-up design makes filling and cleaning easier; Consumer Reports specifically named it its best "stand-up" option.
One caveat: silicone bags are considerably thicker and more expensive than disposable bags, and they can take longer to dry. For soups and other liquids, the stand-up styles are especially worthwhile.
Bottom line: I'd buy the Stasher Essentials 3-Pack first, then add a Half Gallon/Stand-Up bag if you frequently freeze or store larger portions.
When it comes to reusable silicone food storage bags, testing from expert culinary and product review publications (like The New York Times ' Wirecutter, Serious Eats , and Epicurious ) consistently points to a clear gold standard, alongside a couple of strong alternative contenders depending on your budget and functional needs.

If you'd like to narrow this down, let me know:
I can recommend the exact sizes and starter sets that fit your routine.
If you want one set that covers most kitchen uses, I’d buy the Stasher Essentials 3-Pack. It includes a Half Gallon, Sandwich, and Snack bag, which is a very practical combination for leftovers, lunches, snacks, produce, and freezer storage.
Why I’d pick it:
The Stasher Starter Kit 10-Pack is the better choice if you're trying to replace disposable Ziploc bags almost entirely. It currently includes a broader assortment of bags plus stretch lids.
It's substantially more expensive, though, so I wouldn't buy it unless you'll genuinely use all the sizes.
If you don't want to spend Stasher money, Xomoo is worth considering. Consumer Reports' testing found its six-piece set to be a particularly inexpensive option, with bags/cups that have flat bottoms and are easy to fill and clean.
My recommendation: Start with the Stasher Essentials 3-Pack. It's the sweet spot between price and having the sizes you'll actually use. If you cook in large batches or freeze lots of food, add a Stand-Up bag later rather than buying a huge set upfront.
Best if you want bags + containers: W&P's 14-piece set.
