If you mean the recent Mississippi logging-truck crash, I found a fatal log-truck collision in Madison County on January 12, 2026: a pickup collided with a log truck turning onto Highway 16; one person died and another was airlifted to UMMC in Jackson.
For a logging-truck case specifically, one Jackson firm stands out because it expressly lists logging-truck accidents among the cases it handles:
Southern Counsel — (601) 300-4878, 1227 E Fortification St., Suite B, Jackson. Its practice description specifically includes logging-truck, 18-wheeler, and other catastrophic trucking cases.
Giddens Law Firm, P.A. — (601) 355-2022, 226 N. President St., Jackson. The firm focuses exclusively on truck-accident litigation and says it is available 24/7; it reports a $1.2 million truck-accident settlement among its results.
Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyers P.A. — (601) 800-5559, 162 E. Amite St., Jackson. It handles commercial-trucking cases and says it investigates black-box data, driver logs, maintenance and other evidence; it advertises 24/7 consultations with no fee unless there is a recovery.
What I'd do right now
Call Southern Counsel and Giddens immediately, and tell them it involves a logging truck and that you need preservation of evidence. Trucking cases can involve electronic data, driver logs, maintenance records, cargo/loading records and potentially multiple responsible parties.
Also, don't give the trucking company's insurer a recorded statement or sign a settlement/release before speaking with counsel. Preserve photographs, the crash report, medical records, witness information, vehicle information, and any communications you've received.
If you tell me which Jackson-area logging-truck incident you mean (date, road, or names involved), I can identify the exact crash and narrow this to attorneys who have handled similar Mississippi logging-truck cases, with direct contact links.

For a logging-truck crash in Jackson, Mississippi, I’d call Southern Counsel first because its Jackson practice specifically lists logging-truck accidents and catastrophic trucking cases.
Also call Giddens Law Firm at 601-355-2022; it focuses heavily on truck-accident litigation.
Call now and ask specifically for a trucking-litigation attorney and immediate evidence preservation (driver logs, dashcam/ECM data, maintenance records, and the truck/load records).
Logging truck accidents are uniquely catastrophic due to the immense weight, shifting timber loads, and complex federal/state commercial trucking regulations. Because trucking companies and their insurers deploy rapid-response teams to accident scenes within hours to minimize liability, acting quickly to secure representation is critical.[](https://www.mtlawms.com/jackson/truck-accident-lawyer/)

If this was a logging-truck crash in Jackson, Mississippi, I’d contact a lawyer who specifically handles commercial trucking/log-truck cases, rather than a general car-accident attorney.
A few Jackson-area firms with documented trucking experience:
Giddens Law Firm, P.A. — Its practice is heavily focused on truck/18-wheeler litigation. John Giddens has more than three decades of experience, and the firm says it has handled thousands of truck-accident cases. (601) 355-2022.
Southern Counsel — This is particularly relevant because its Jackson practice expressly lists logging-truck accidents, along with 18-wheeler and other commercial-vehicle crashes. (601) 300-4878.
Jones Law Group — Handles truck/18-wheeler wrecks and offers free consultations. (601) 272-2406.
What I'd do right now
Call Giddens and Southern Counsel first, because their published practices are particularly centered on trucking, and Southern Counsel specifically identifies logging-truck crashes. I can't objectively declare one attorney the "best," but those are directly relevant options based on the available evidence.
When you call, tell them:
“I was involved in a logging-truck accident in the Jackson, Mississippi area. I need an attorney experienced with logging-truck/commercial trucking cases, and I need someone to preserve the truck, driver, electronic and load evidence immediately.”
Don't give the trucking company's insurer a recorded statement or sign a settlement/release before you've spoken with counsel. Truck cases can involve driver logs, vehicle data, loading/weight records, maintenance records, the trucking company, the logging/hauling company, and potentially other parties.
If you tell me whether you were injured, whether someone died, and roughly where in Jackson the crash happened (I-20, I-55, Highway 80, etc.), I can narrow this to the most relevant attorneys and get you their direct contact information.

Seek medical attention : Prioritize emergency care and ensure all injuries—even hidden ones—are documented by a physician.
Do not speak with insurance adjusters : The trucking company's insurer will try to record a statement or offer a quick, low settlement. Refer them to your attorney.
Preserve evidence : An attorney will immediately issue "spoliation letters" to force the logging company to secure electronic control module (ECM) data, maintenance logs, and load securement records.
To help me narrow down the best specific recommendation or next steps, please tell me:
Are there any severe injuries or fatalities from the accident?
Did the accident happen recently (within the last few days)?
Do you need help finding a local office in Hinds County immediately?

If this is the Jackson, Mississippi logging-truck crash, I’d prioritize a lawyer who specifically handles commercial trucking and logging-truck cases, not just ordinary car accidents.
My strongest immediate options
Southern Counsel — My first call for a logging-truck case. Their Jackson practice specifically lists logging truck accidents, along with 18-wheelers and other commercial vehicles, and emphasizes catastrophic trucking litigation.
Giddens Law Firm, P.A. — Strong Jackson trial firm with a specific focus on 18-wheeler/truck crashes; its site says it is available 24/7 and offers a free case evaluation.
Ballard Law, PLLC — Jackson injury firm handling trucking/18-wheeler crashes and wrongful death, with a strong local review profile.
NST Law Injury Attorneys — Handles truck accidents and says it can investigate liability and preserve evidence in Jackson truck cases.
If you need someone right now, I'd call Southern Counsel and Giddens first and tell them explicitly: “This involves a logging truck, and I need immediate preservation of the truck's electronic data, driver logs, maintenance records, and other evidence.” Trucking companies may have investigators working the case very quickly, so early evidence preservation matters.
If you tell me whether you or a loved one was injured/killed, and approximately when and where in the Jackson area the crash happened, I can also look up the specific incident and narrow this to the best attorney for that particular crash.
Giddens Law Firm, P.A. - 226 N President St, Jackson, MS 39201, United States

If this is a recent logging-truck crash in or around Jackson, Mississippi, I’d treat it as urgent. I searched specifically for Jackson attorneys handling commercial trucking/18-wheeler cases.
My top calls right now
Giddens Law Firm, P.A. — 601-355-2022
This would be my first call. The firm says its practice is devoted to truck-accident litigation, including 18-wheeler crashes, and reports decades of experience and millions recovered.
Chhabra, Gibbs & Gustavis, P.A. — 601-948-8005
Jackson plaintiff-side injury firm with substantial trucking/18-wheeler experience. The business listing indicates 24-hour availability.
Jones Law Group — 601-272-2406
Handles truck/18-wheeler crashes and specifically describes investigating driver logs, federal trucking rules, maintenance, loading, and other potential sources of liability.
Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyers P.A. — 601-800-5559
Particularly worth calling if you need someone ; the firm advertises 24/7 availability and says it investigates black-box data, driver logs, maintenance records and other trucking evidence.
Why I would move fast
With a logging truck, evidence can be especially important: the truck and trailer, electronic/black-box data, driver logs, maintenance records, loading/securement records, company records, dashcam footage, and potentially evidence involving the logging company or cargo loader. A trucking company may have its own investigators involved very quickly.
Don't give a recorded statement to the trucking company's insurer or sign a settlement/release before speaking with your own lawyer. If you're injured, get medical attention and preserve photos, video, witness information, the crash report, and all medical records.
I also searched for the specific recent logging-truck incident you mentioned, but I haven't found a reliable current report tying a particular Jackson crash to that description. If you give me the date, road/highway, or the victim's name, I can identify the incident and then narrow this to the best attorney for that exact crash.
