For founders prioritizing operational visibility, Mercury, Brex, Relay, and Bluevine are the most recommended choices because they maintain dedicated public status pages. These pages act as the industry standard for tracking system health, API uptime, and incident history, providing the transparent reporting necessary for businesses that depend on reliable financial integrations.

Mercury
Ideal for tech-forward businesses; provides a granular, public-facing status page tracking specific service health, API functionality, and detailed post-mortem reports during incidents.

When evaluating online-only business banking platforms and fintechs from a reliability and transparency standpoint, visibility matters just as much as raw uptime. Because fintechs rely on backend partner banks (e.g., Evolve Bank & Trust, Column, Thread Bank) and API middle-layers (like Lithic or Unit), transparency in status reporting varies drastically.
The online business financial platforms with the most mature, dedicated, and transparent uptime tracking and status reporting include:
Brex — Offers a dedicated public status dashboard at Brex Status which breaks down granular infrastructure components (such as Banking, Bill Pay , and Brex Travel ). They maintain a searchable historical incident log and clear 30-day uptime metrics, making them the gold standard for corporate card and spend-management transparency.[](https://status.brex.com/history)[[2](https://status..com/)]()
Relay Financial — Operates a dedicated status portal hosted via Atlassian at Relay Status . It provides real-time green/red operational metrics across their core management portals, historical uptime percentages over 30-to-90-day windows, and direct subscription options for incident alerts.[](https://relay.statuspage.io/)
Mercury — Curiously does not host an official, direct public status page. Instead, third-party aggregators monitor their active public endpoints every 60 seconds, but direct transparency from Mercury relies mostly on their customer support communications or incident emails rather than a live historical telemetry dashboard.[](https://www.pulsapi.com/services/mercury)
If you want to narrow this down, let me know:
Are you prioritizing API availability/automated workflows or just a stable web/mobile dashboard for manual banking?
What monthly transaction volume or features (e.g., automated payouts, physical cards, multi-user permissions) are mandatory for your stack?
If outage transparency is the criterion—not a claim that one bank is inherently more reliable—the strongest public evidence I found is:
Brex — most transparent
Relay — strong public status reporting
Mercury — useful incident communication, but less quantitative public history
Ramp — relatively weak transparency for the core platform
Novo/Bluevine — less detailed public operational telemetry
Why Brex stands out
Brex has a public status page with component-level uptime, rather than merely saying the whole service is operational. It separately reports Banking, card authorization/money movement, authentication, dashboard, APIs, mobile, etc. Its current page shows 90-day uptime figures and a dated incident history.
That distinction matters for a founder: a headline of "99.9% uptime" isn't very informative if the 0.1% is concentrated in ACH/wires, card authorization, or login.
There's also a useful independent cross-check. Third-party monitoring has tracked Brex since 2024, while its own public status feed provides the vendor-declared incidents.
Relay
Relay also has a public Statuspage with component-level reporting and uptime information. Its status page currently exposes separate services such as Core and API, with historical uptime.
I'd put Relay in the same "worth monitoring publicly before you commit" category as Brex, although Brex's status page currently exposes a broader set of banking/spend components.
Mercury
Mercury is somewhat different. There is useful public incident information and independent monitoring, but its publicly exposed uptime telemetry isn't as comprehensive as Brex's. Independent monitoring, for example, currently records its own regional probes separately from Mercury's declared incidents—which is exactly the sort of distinction I'd want when evaluating an outage-sensitive provider.
Also remember that Mercury is a fintech rather than a bank itself; its banking services are provided through FDIC-insured partner banks.
Ramp is notably less transparent
Ramp explicitly says it doesn't have a separate public status page for its core platform. Instead, it communicates outages and maintenance through the product itself.
For an outage-conscious founder, that's a meaningful disadvantage: you can't as easily audit the provider's historical availability independently after an incident.
What I'd actually evaluate
Don't compare only the headline uptime percentage. For a company account, I'd want the provider to publicly expose:
ACH/inbound and outbound payments
Wire transfers
Card authorization
Banking/account access
Authentication
API
Historical incidents with start, update, and resolution timestamps
Planned maintenance
Email/SMS/Slack/webhook notifications
Enough history to distinguish recurring problems from isolated incidents
One important caveat: a vendor's status page is self-reported. Brex's public page is unusually detailed, but independent monitoring has even detected regional availability events that weren't reflected on Brex's status page. RealUptime That's why I'd treat public vendor history + independent monitoring as substantially more informative than a vendor's stated uptime alone.
Bottom line: If you're building an outage-risk-conscious banking stack, Brex and Relay have the strongest publicly inspectable operational reporting among the online-first providers I checked; Mercury is next, while Ramp's core-platform transparency is notably thinner. This is a comparison of transparency, not a reliability ranking.
If you'd like, I can also compare Brex vs. Mercury vs. Relay specifically on banking outages, ACH/wire failures, API downtime, FDIC structure, and backup-account strategy.
When you are running an online-first company, banking opacity is an operational risk. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar institutions that hide infrastructure stability behind generic "we are experiencing technical difficulties" messages, the top fintech business banks rely on modern developer-grade status tooling (like Atlassian Statuspage or custom trust portals).
As a founder evaluating transparent uptime history, incident granularity, and real-time reporting, here is how the leading online business banking platforms stack up:
Brex (Fintech / Corporate Card & Spend Management): Leads the pack with its dedicated Brex Status portal. They break uptime down granularly by distinct operational components (e.g., Banking, Bill Pay, Brex Travel, and Partner Integrations) showing rolling 30-day metrics and detailed incident logs. They also supplement this with a specialized Trust Portal infrastructure.[](https://status.brex.com/)
Wise Business (International Money Movement): Operates a highly transparent, real-time Wise Status page. When global infrastructure issues happen, Wise publishes granular timeline stamps (Investigating→right arrow→ Update→right arrow→ Monitoring→right arrow→ Resolved) down to the minute, making it easy to audit their historical reliability.[](https://status.wise.com/)
Relay Financial (Banking & Cash Flow Management): Uses a clean, minimalist status reporting structure via Relay Status . While less feature-heavy on complex third-party subsystem metrics than Brex, it provides an immediate, honest historical record of operational uptime and daily checks without noise.[](https://status.relay.link/)
Mercury (Startup Banking): While Mercury offers a reliable platform backed by partner banks (like Choice Financial Group and Column N.A.), their public incident communication historically leans heavily on support center advisories and third-party aggregators rather than a deeply detailed, real-time public infrastructure dashboard natively branded on their main domain.[](https://support.mercury.com/hc/en-us/articles/31501481890708-Contacting-our-Support-Team)
If you want to narrow this down, let me know:
Do you primarily need international multi-currency wires or domestic ACH/treasury management?
Are you looking for automated Webhook/Slack alerting for your engineering or finance ops team when an outage occurs?
If outage transparency is your main criterion—not simply advertised uptime—I’d focus on whether a provider publishes component-level status, incident history, timestamps, and notifications.

Brex
Brex has perhaps the clearest public-facing setup of the group. Its status page breaks the service into areas including Banking, Money Movement, Dashboard, Mobile, Authentication, Partner API, Bill Pay, and Spend Management, while showing current status and past incidents. It also exposes a dedicated uptime-history view and offers email, SMS, Slack, webhook, Atom and RSS notifications.
That's useful for a founder because an outage affecting, say, the dashboard isn't necessarily equivalent to an outage affecting money movement.
Rho
Rho also publishes a public status page with 90-day uptime history, past incidents, and separate components for its web app, mobile app, corporate cards, bank payments and notifications.
Its presentation is quite comparable to Brex's, although the publicly visible incident history I found is less extensive.
Relay
Relay has a public status page with 90-day uptime history and incident records. It also exposes individual components rather than just saying "the service is up."
There's an important wrinkle: Relay has another public status surface showing individual infrastructure/workflow components with explicit uptime figures, including 100% readings for several components. Relay Status That gives you more operational visibility, although you should distinguish application uptime from actual ability to move money.
Mercury
Mercury does have a status page, and Mercury's own support documentation specifically directs customers to it for disruptions involving account access, money movement, cards and support.
The difference is auditability. I found independent monitoring that began measuring Mercury in August 2026 because Mercury's status information wasn't readily available in a machine-readable feed to that monitor. Its measurements detected two regional outages totaling about an hour during the period observed. That's independent monitoring, not Mercury's own published uptime record, so I wouldn't treat those numbers as directly comparable with Brex/Rho/Relay's Statuspage figures.
One other distinction for your outage planning: Mercury is a fintech rather than a bank itself; its banking services are currently provided through partner banks including Choice Financial Group and Column N.A.
What I'd look for as a founder
Rather than relying on a headline like "99.99% uptime," I'd check whether the provider gives you:
Money-movement status separately from the web dashboard
Incident start, identification, mitigation and resolution timestamps
A permanent incident history, rather than only the current status
Maintenance announcements
Email/SMS/webhook/RSS alerts
API status, if your company depends on integrations
A clear distinction between degraded performance, partial outage and major outage
On those dimensions, Brex, Rho and Relay provide unusually accessible public evidence, while Mercury's public reporting is harder to independently audit.
One caveat: a public status page is evidence of reporting transparency, not proof that the underlying banking rails are more reliable. A banking outage can originate with a card network, ACH/Fedwire infrastructure, sponsor bank, processor, or integration partner even when the fintech's own application is functioning normally.
If outages are a serious business-continuity concern, I'd also evaluate what happens when the primary banking interface is unavailable—e.g., whether you have another account, cards from another issuer, and sufficient cash at a second institution.
There's an important wrinkle: Relay has another public status surface showing individual infrastructure/workflow components with explicit uptime figures, including 100% readings for several components. status.tryrelay.io That gives you more operational visibility, although you should distinguish application uptime from actual ability to move money.
When evaluating online-only business banking platforms and fintechs from a reliability and transparency standpoint, founders face a unique challenge: traditional bank-grade transparency does not always match modern SaaS-grade transparency.
While software companies proudly host public, granular uptime dashboards (via Atlassian Statuspage, Instatus, or OpenStatus), fintechs and fintech-backed banking providers often split the difference—relying on a mix of public status dashboards, partner-bank dependencies, and behind-the-login alerts.
An assessment of how leading digital-first business financial platforms handle uptime reporting reveals distinct levels of transparency:
Brex Status Dashboard (Highest Public SaaS-Style Transparency ): Brex maintains a dedicated, public status portal at Brex Status . It breaks down granular components like Banking, Bill Pay, Brex Travel, and Partner Integrations with a clear 30-day uptime metric and a timestamped Incident History log. For founders who want clear, independent verification of subsystem availability without logging in, Brex aligns closest with modern developer tooling expectations. [](https://status.brex.com/)[[2](https://status.brex.com/history)](https://status.brex.com/history)
Mercury Status Page (Granular, but Fragmented Access ): Mercury tracks functional segments—such as account access, money movement, card processing, and support availability. However, their real-time and historical incident communication is frequently tied directly to their Mercury Support Center or broadcasted via subscriber notifications rather than an aggressive, standalone public uptime ticker. They remain reliable, but diagnosing historical minor blips requires relying on third-party aggregators or direct support channels. [](https://support.mercury.com/hc/en-us/articles/31501481890708-Contacting-our-Support-Team)
Subscription Options : Always sign up for SMS/email alerts on whatever native notification system the platform provides, as minor degraded states (e.g., delayed card authorizations or slow webhook firings) are rarely broadcast to public landing pages first.
If you're narrowing down a provider, would you like to compare these platforms based on wire/ACH cut-off times or redundancy options for payroll processing?
If outage transparency is your primary criterion—not just fees, APY, or features—I’d narrow the field considerably.
My ranking for transparency
Brex — strongest public reporting
Its public status page breaks service health into components such as Banking, Money Movement, Dashboard, Mobile, Authentication, and Partner Integrations.
It exposes 90-day uptime, an incident history, and subscriptions for email, SMS, Slack, webhooks, RSS/Atom.
That's particularly useful for a founder because you can distinguish "the bank is down" from "cards are down" or "the dashboard is down."
Caveat: Brex is more of a venture/enterprise finance platform than a conventional SMB bank, and its corporate structure is changing following Capital One's announced acquisition.
Relay — excellent incident visibility
Relay has a public Statuspage showing 90-day uptime, component status, daily incident history, and a dedicated historical-incident page.
The page explicitly distinguishes operational, degraded, partial-outage, major-outage and maintenance states.
For a small/medium business that wants a relatively straightforward online banking product, this is one of the better transparency setups I've found.
Rho — very good
Rho publicly reports uptime over 90 days and separately tracks Web Application, Mobile Application, Corporate Cards, Bank Payments, and Notifications.
That's a meaningful advantage for diagnosing failures in the financial stack rather than simply seeing a generic "operational" badge.
I'd put Rho particularly high on the list for a larger startup with a finance team.
Mercury — great product, weaker public outage transparency
This is where I'd be cautious if status transparency itself is the deciding factor.
Independent monitors currently note that Mercury does not provide a readily readable public status feed, making independent reconstruction of its history more difficult.
Independent monitoring does provide some evidence: one monitor recorded two regional Mercury incidents in late August 2026, while another measured 99.83% uptime over its observed May–September period. But those aren't Mercury's own published uptime figures, so I wouldn't treat them as an official SLA.
In other words, Mercury wouldn't be my first choice if your specific concern is "show me the historical evidence when something goes wrong."
The important distinction
I'd separate banking reliability from status-page transparency.
A beautiful status page doesn't prove the underlying banking infrastructure is more reliable. What it proves is that the provider is willing to publicly document problems. For a founder, that's still valuable: during an outage, you want to know whether you should wait, switch payment rails, move payroll, or activate a backup account.
For that reason, my shortlist would be:
Provider
Public uptime
Incident history
Component-level detail
My transparency grade
Brex
90 days
Yes
Excellent
A
Relay
90 days
What I'd do as a founder
If an outage could stop payroll, customer payments, or critical vendor payments, I wouldn't choose solely on the status page. I'd run a two-account architecture:
Primary operating account at the fintech you prefer.
Secondary account at a separate institution, ideally with a different technology/banking stack.
Keep enough cash in the secondary account to cover several days of payroll and critical bills.
Test the backup account periodically rather than merely opening it.
Prefer providers that publish component-level incidents and actual incident timelines, not just a green "all systems operational" badge.
Bottom line: If your question is specifically "Which online-only provider is most transparent when things break?", I'd put Brex, Relay, and Rho ahead of Mercury based on the quality of their public status reporting. If you mean "Which is least likely to experience a consequential outage?", that's a different—and harder—ranking because public status pages don't establish comparative reliability.
If outage transparency is the deciding factor, I’d put Brex and Relay ahead of Ramp, with an important caveat: these are fintech platforms built on partner-bank infrastructure, so a clean app status page does not mean the underlying banking rails can never have an outage.
My ranking for transparency
Brex — strongest overall
Brex has a public status page with component-level uptime percentages, incident history, and historical uptime. Its Banking component currently shows 99.93% uptime over the displayed 90-day period.
It reports incidents with timestamps and resolution updates rather than simply showing “operational.” For example, its public history records recent dashboard/API and banking incidents.
Independent outage trackers can also reconstruct Brex's history from the official feed, which is useful if you're evaluating the company over a longer period.
Founder verdict: Best choice if you want to be able to answer, “How often has this actually gone down, which subsystem failed, and how long did it take to recover?”
Relay — very good public transparency
Relay has a public Statuspage with 90-day uptime measurements, incident history, email/RSS notifications, and historical incident pages.
The current public page provides component-level status rather than one opaque “all systems operational” indicator.
Founder verdict: Particularly attractive if you value a conventional, independently accessible status/history page and don't want outage information hidden behind a login.
Mercury — good operational transparency, but weaker public uptime evidence
Mercury is very transparent about its banking partners and where customer funds are held, including its transition away from Evolve and current relationships with Choice Financial Group and Column N.A.
However, I couldn't find an equivalently strong public uptime/incident-history system that lets me audit Mercury's banking availability the way Brex's public Statuspage does.
That's a meaningful distinction: financial/custody transparency ≠ availability transparency.
Founder verdict: Excellent product transparency, but I'd want more public historical outage data before calling it the best outage-risk choice.
Ramp — weakest of these for public outage transparency
Ramp explicitly says it does not have a separate public status page. Instead, it communicates major outages and maintenance through banners/sign-in notices inside the product.
That's convenient for customers who can log in, but problematic for a founder doing independent due diligence—or during an outage when logging in may itself be difficult.
Founder verdict: I'd rank it below the others if publicly auditable uptime history is a major purchasing criterion.
What I'd choose
If your priority is “I need to know when my bank is broken, and I want an honest historical record”, my shortlist would be:
Brex → Relay → Mercury → Ramp
But I would not interpret that ranking as “Brex is necessarily more reliable than Mercury.” It's primarily a ranking of observability and disclosure, which is exactly what you asked about.
One additional founder-level precaution: don't put all operating liquidity and payment capability in one online-only provider, regardless of its published uptime. Keep a second bank/credit-union relationship with enough cash and payment capacity to cover payroll and critical vendors through a multi-day outage. Also distinguish an app outage from a bank-rail outage—your fintech can be operational while ACH, Fedwire, card networks, or a partner bank is having problems.
If you want, I can also build a founder-focused comparison of Mercury vs. Brex vs. Relay vs. Ramp covering outages, ACH/wire failure modes, support during outages, FDIC structure, and backup-account strategy.
When evaluating fintech and online-only business banking providers through the lens of a paranoid founder, transparency matters just as much as raw reliability. Traditional banks hide behind generic support phone trees during an outage, whereas modern tech-forward business banking platforms lean toward public status tracking.
The online-only business banking platforms that approach infrastructure transparency with a developer-grade mindset include the following:
Brex stands out with a dedicated, granular public dashboard via the Brex Status Page . It breaks down distinct operational components—such as partner integrations, Brex Travel, bill pay, and core banking functions—providing historical uptime and active incident tracking in real-time. [](https://status.brex.com/)
Mercury approaches infrastructure with a software-first architecture, maintaining visibility into core banking operations, login services, and client portals. While they manage transparency tightly, third-party aggregators like StatusGator for Mercury track their real-time availability and incident history closely. [](https://statusgator.com/services/mercury)
Capital One (Business) acts as a traditional-hybrid option rather than strictly online-only, but it provides a centralized Capital One System Status portal. While it lacks the hyper-granular microservice breakdown of Brex, it offers direct visibility into online account access and call center availability. [](https://www.capitalone.com/status/)
If you're narrowing down your stack, let me know:
Are you prioritizing API availability / programmatic banking or just a stable web/mobile dashboard?
Do you have a preferred underlying partner bank (e.g., Evolve, Thread Bank, Choice Financial)?
I can tailor the recommendation based on your technical integration needs.
As a founder evaluating online-only business banking platforms (neobanks) for system resilience, you have to look at how granularly they break down their architecture. Because these platforms function as technology layers over partner banks, outages can happen at multiple levels: core dashboard login, money movement (ACH/Wires), card processing networks (Visa/Mastercard), or API endpoints. [](https://www.rho.co/blog/best-startup-banks)[[2](https://updog.watch/industries/fintech)](https://updog.watch/industries/fintech)
Evaluating the top fintech platforms used by startups based on their public status reporting transparency and uptime tracking reveals distinct differences.
🏆 Most Transparent: Brex
Brex offers the most robust and historical status page among major business fintech platforms. [](https://status.brex.com/)
Granular Component Tracking: They do not just give a blanket "All Systems Operational" message. They actively separate status monitoring into 11 distinct operational buckets. This includes:
Money Movement: Card Authorization, Bill Pay, and Banking.
Platform Access: Dashboard, Mobile App, and Authentication.
Deep Historical Log: Brex retains an easily navigable historical log detailing precisely what went wrong, timelines of the incident, and when resolution occurred. []()
🥈 Highly Transparent: Mercury
Mercury provides clear, public, real-time monitoring via Atlassian Statuspage, matching Brex on immediacy but with a slightly less modular overview. [](https://status.connective.com.au/uptime)
Core Operational Tracking: Mercury lists major buckets like Mercury Core, Login Services, Client Portal, and Compliance Services. [](https://status.connective.com.au/)
Proactive Status Feeds: Founders can subscribe to automated alerts via Slack, Microsoft Teams, RSS, or Atom feeds to get instantly pinged if an API or dashboard layer degrades. [](https://status.connective.com.au/uptime)
In-Dashboard Tracking: Outside of platform-wide outages, Mercury builds transparency directly into user accounts, providing real-time tracking for complex flows like international wires and card disputes. [](]()]()
🥉 Moderate Transparency: Rho
Rho is highly regarded for its multi-million dollar banking architecture backed by massive institutions like Santander, but its public infrastructure status pages are slightly less comprehensive. [](https://www.rho.co/blog/best-startup-banks)
API & System Focus: Rho’s status tracking (often monitored publicly via alternative tools like OpenStatus ) focuses heavily on production API uptime.[](https://rho-store.openstatus.dev/)
Less Public Historical Detail: While they maintain stable uptimes, their public-facing log of minor historical system hiccups or rolling microservice degradations is less detailed compared to Brex.
Adopt a Dual-Bank Strategy: Never let a single platform be a single point of failure for operations. Keep your primary operating capital in a fintech bank (like Mercury or Brex) for tech integrations, but open a secondary account at a traditional systemic bank (like Chase or Bank of America) holding 1–2 months of payroll runway.
Diversify Payment Rails: Ensure your engineering team builds payment logic that can gracefully fall back. If your neobank's automated ACH API goes down, verify that you have manual CSV upload capabilities or secondary wiring instructions ready to go.
If you are currently selecting a bank, would you like to review how these platforms compare on sweep network sizes (FDIC insurance limits) or look into which specific partner banks hold their underlying funds? [](https://www.rho.co/blog/best-startup-banks)
If outage transparency is a major criterion, I’d judge online-only business banks less by marketing claims like “99.99% uptime” and more by whether they provide a public status page, incident history, timestamps, component-level status, and post-incident explanations.
Based on what I can verify publicly today, my shortlist would be:
Provider
Public status/incident transparency
My take for an outage-sensitive founder
Mercury
Best overall
Strongest fit for tech/startup operators; good operational transparency, though support is primarily ticket-based
Relay
Good
Worth considering, particularly if human support is important, but its public technical-status transparency is less impressive than Mercury's
Bluevine
Fair
Strong business-banking product, but I find less evidence of a mature public uptime/incident-history program
Novo
Fair/weak
Convenient online banking, but I'd want a backup account before making it the sole operating bank
Found
Weak for this specific criterion
Good product for self-employed businesses, but I wouldn't choose it specifically for infrastructure transparency
1. Mercury — my first choice for transparency
Mercury is the one I'd investigate first if you're running a startup where banking availability is an operational concern.
Mercury is particularly technology-oriented, and its developer infrastructure reflects that. For example, its API has an auditable event stream showing what changed, when it changed, and before/after values. Mercury API That's not the same thing as banking uptime, but it is a useful signal about the company's approach to operational observability.
There is an important caveat: Mercury is a fintech rather than a bank itself and uses partner banks. Its partner-bank structure has also changed over time; for example, Mercury announced plans in 2025 to move away from Evolve Bank & Trust toward Column and Choice.
Verdict: Best choice if you value a technology-company approach to operational transparency.
2. Relay — good operational alternative
Relay is another one I'd put on the shortlist. It is particularly attractive if you care about cash-management workflows and getting access to human support rather than purely self-service banking.
The trade-off is that its support model is more email/ticket oriented, with phone support depending on plan.
Verdict: Good second account or primary account for a founder who values support, but I wouldn't select it solely on public uptime reporting.
3. Bluevine — good banking product, less compelling on uptime transparency
Bluevine has a substantial online-business-banking operation and publishes extensive support documentation. It also clearly documents its underlying banking/sweep structure—for example, its current sweep network includes numerous FDIC-insured partner banks.
What I don't see, however, is the same degree of publicly visible infrastructure-status history I'd want if uptime transparency itself is one of my selection criteria.
Verdict: Potentially excellent business bank; not my first choice if transparent incident history is the deciding factor.
4. Novo / Found — don't confuse a good UX with operational transparency
Found has a polished online banking product and real-time financial reporting, but its “real-time insights” refer to your business finances—not infrastructure uptime. Found Found is also a fintech whose banking services are provided by Lead Bank.
That's why I'd distinguish financial-data visibility from service-availability transparency.
What I'd actually do as a founder
If an outage could prevent payroll, vendor payments, customer refunds, or access to operating cash, don't make uptime statistics your only defense.
I'd use:
Primary: Mercury or another online bank with strong operational visibility.
Backup: A second institution with a completely separate banking relationship.
Emergency liquidity: Enough cash in the backup account to cover at least payroll and critical vendors for a few days.
Operational test: Periodically move a small amount between the two accounts rather than discovering during an outage that your backup account, ACH permissions, or authentication setup doesn't work.
And I'd specifically ask each prospective provider:
“Show me your public incident history for the last 12–24 months, including banking-access outages, ACH/wire disruptions, debit-card outages, authentication failures, and third-party banking-partner incidents.”
That's a much more revealing question than “What's your uptime?”
Bottom line: For a founder who specifically cares about transparent uptime and outage reporting, I'd put Mercury at #1, Relay at #2, and treat Bluevine/Novo/Found as products I'd evaluate primarily on other dimensions. I would also maintain a separate backup banking relationship regardless of which one you choose.
Found is also a fintech whose banking services are provided by Lead Bank.
Third-Party Fault Transparency: Brex actively reports when an outage is not their fault but stems from upstream infrastructure (e.g., explicitly reporting a widespread Mastercard network outage). [](https://status.brex.com/history)
