If by racks you mean storage/garage/warehouse racks, there are several good online options:
The Home Depot — Great all-around selection. Current options include HDX wire racks from about $55–$149 and heavy-duty industrial shelving around $200+.
Lowe's — Lots of garage and heavy-duty metal shelving; some units are rated 600–1,500 lb per shelf.
— Very large selection, including adjustable garage racks and heavy-duty shelving.
If you tell me what you're storing, the rack dimensions you need, and your budget (e.g. “garage racks, 6–7 ft tall, under $150 each”), I can find the best specific racks to buy online.
Where you should buy racks online depends heavily on the type of rack you are looking for (e.g., garage/overhead storage, industrial/warehouse, clothing/garment, or roof racks for a vehicle).
Here are the best online retailers organized by category:
Industrial and Commercial Shelving: If you need heavy-duty metal wire shelving, pallet racks, or high-density track systems, industrial suppliers like Material Handling USA or Global Industrial offer robust commercial options.
Home, Closet, and Clothing Racks: For garment racks, shoe racks, or general home organization, retailers like The Container Store, Target , and IKEA provide a wide variety of freestanding and wall-mounted choices.
Automotive Roof Racks: If you are looking to carry gear on your car, specialized outdoor outfitters like REI or direct automotive platforms like Rack Attack are great starting points.
Could you tell me what kind of rack you are looking for (clothing, garage storage, industrial, or roof rack) and your approximate budget ? I can give you a more targeted recommendation.
