If you mean a U.S. passport, you have two main ways to rush it:

1. Use the State Department directly — usually the best option.

   • Expedited processing: currently 2–3 weeks, plus mailing time, for an additional $60.travel.state.gov
   • If you're traveling internationally within 14 calendar days, you can make an appointment at a U.S. passport agency/center for urgent service. There is no fee to make the appointment.travel.state.gov
   • You can also pay for 1–3 day return delivery once the passport is issued.travel.state.gov

2. Use a private passport courier/expeditor.
Companies can prepare your application, submit it to a passport agency when they're registered to do so, and handle pickup/delivery. However, the State Department explicitly says a courier cannot make the government process your passport faster than the available government service. They charge their own additional service fees.travel.state.gov

If you need to rush a U.S. passport, you should go directly through the official U.S. Department of State channels rather than paying expensive third-party "courier" or "expediting" services. Third-party services cannot get your passport any faster than the government can; they simply charge extra fees to submit the exact same paperwork.

The official, fastest ways to get your passport depend on your timeframe:

1. Expedited Service (By Mail or In-Person)
   • Timeline : Takes 2-3 weeks (plus up to 2 weeks for mailing time each way).
