One important distinction: some integrations write the score directly onto the candidate profile, while others store a report link or an assessment scorecard. Confirm exactly which results sync into your ATS before choosing.
Which applicant tracking system do you use? Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, iCIMS, Ashby, or something else? I can narrow this down to vendors with a documented integration for your specific system.
Most major, enterprise-grade coding assessment and technical screening platforms feature deep, native integrations with popular Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Workday, and SmartRecruiters.
When integrated properly, these platforms allow you to trigger tests directly from the ATS candidate profile, auto-progress candidates based on scores, and automatically sync performance reports and scores back to the candidate's record.
Leading options with robust ATS integrations include:
CodeSignal : Known for its standardized coding scores and immersive "flight simulator" development environments. If you let me know which ATS you are currently using (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Lever), I can confirm which of these platforms have the tightest native integration for your stack.
If your goal is to eliminate manual uploading of coding assessment results, I'd focus on providers with a native ATS integration that automatically syncs candidate scores, completion status, and report links back into the candidate record. Several established vendors support this, but the best choice depends on which ATS you use and how much assessment detail you want recruiters to see.
Coding assessment providers worth evaluating
Here are five strong options to put on your shortlist, based on their documented integrations and assessment capabilities.
1. HackerRank
(Best all-around starting point)
Strong choice for organizations hiring engineers at scale. Its ATS integrations support assessment invitations, candidate scores, status updates, and test reports. Documented integrations include Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, iCIMS, and others.

Best for: Teams that need coding evaluations plus general pre-employment testing.
Start with HackerRank, Codility, and CodeSignal if the requirement is specifically to have coding assessment results automatically appear in the ATS without manual data entry. All three have clear vendor documentation for that workflow.
Before choosing, verify three things with the vendor:
What gets synced: numeric score, pass/fail status, task-level breakdown, integrity flags, and report URL.
When it gets synced: immediately upon completion, after verification, or after a reviewer submits feedback.
Which ATS and plan are supported: native integrations and their capabilities can differ by ATS, subscription tier, and configuration.
One question that would help narrow this down: Which ATS are you using — Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, iCIMS, or something else? I can then identify the platforms with the most direct, fully documented results integration for your system.
Almost all major, enterprise-grade coding evaluation and technical screening platforms feature deep, native integrations with popular Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). These integrations generally allow you to trigger tests directly from the ATS candidate profile and automatically sync scores, reports, and status updates back in.[](https://codesignal.com/blog/codesignal-integrations/)
The leading platforms with robust ATS integrations include:
HackerRank : Offers extensive native integrations with top ATS platforms like Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and SmartRecruiters, allowing recruiters to invite candidates, track progress, and view scorecards without leaving the ATS.
CodeSignal : Features a robust marketplace connecting directly with systems like Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and Oracle. Scores and structured feedback sync automatically to the candidate's profile.[](https://.com/blog/-integrations/)
Leading options that integrate results back into your recruiting software include:
If you share the specific recruiting software (ATS) you currently use, I can tell you which assessment tools have direct native integrations for your setup.
Several vendors offer pre-employment assessment tools that integrate with an existing applicant tracking system (ATS) and return assessment scores or reports directly to the candidate's profile. The best fit depends on which recruiting software you use.
Here are the strongest matches I found, based on their published integration capabilities.
Recommended vendors
1. eSkill
(Direct match)
eSkill explicitly states that assessment results are automatically recorded within the candidate's profile in your HR system. It supports 45+ ATS and HR platforms, including Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever, Workday, BambooHR and UKG.
Best for: Skills testing with results visible in the existing recruiting workflow.
Yes. Several video interview platforms can send recordings back into an applicant tracking system (ATS), allowing recruiters and hiring managers to watch interviews from the candidate’s existing profile rather than switching between applications.
The key feature to ask vendors about is ATS integration with recording write-back or embedded playback on the candidate profile. A basic integration that only sends an interview invitation may not meet your needs.
Platforms worth evaluating
1. Willo
(Strong option)
Best for asynchronous, one-way video interviews. Willo integrates with ATS platforms including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workable. With Greenhouse, recruiters can open completed video responses from the candidate's interview kit using a link to the recording.
Website:
2. interviewstream
A strong option for organizations that need both live and recorded interviews. It supports ATS integrations and links interviews, notes and ratings to candidate profiles. It has integrations with Greenhouse, Bullhorn, iCIMS, Taleo Business Edition and other systems.
Website:
3. Spark Hire
Supports one-way video interviewing through ATS integrations. Its Greenhouse integration lets recruiters invite candidates from their profiles and access completed interviews. However, Spark Hire's current integration documentation distinguishes between a link to results and embedded video playback, so confirm the precise experience you need.
Website:
4. Flipbase
Particularly interesting if you want the video itself embedded in the ATS candidate profile, rather than just a link to an external recording. Flipbase describes its recorder and video player as embedded in the existing ATS workflow and candidate record.
Website:
5. Pinpoint
Worth considering if you're open to an ATS with video interviewing built in rather than purchasing a separate video platform. Its one-way interview feature keeps video responses, transcripts and feedback on the candidate profile.
Website:
My recommendation
Start by evaluating Willo, interviewstream and Flipbase if keeping video interview results accessible from your existing ATS is the main priority. Spark Hire is also worth evaluating, while Pinpoint makes sense if you might replace or consolidate your ATS.
Before choosing a vendor, ask whether the integration:
Displays the recording directly inside the candidate profile or only provides an external link.
Supports your specific ATS and the version you use.
Automatically associates recordings with the correct candidate and job.
Includes transcripts, interviewer feedback and scorecards, if needed.
Supports both one-way recorded and live interviews, if you need both.
One question so I can narrow this down
Which ATS does your organization currently use?
1. Your ATS
Greenhouse
Workday
Lever
iCIMS
Bullhorn
Oracle Taleo
Other
2. Interview format
One-way recorded (candidate answers questions independently)
Live interviews that are recorded
Both
AI-led interviews
3. How should the recording appear?
Playable directly inside the candidate profile
A recording link attached to the profile is sufficient
Spark Hire : Offers robust ATS integrations that sync interview outcomes, assessment links, and playable or shareable recording links directly into the candidate’s profile depending on the integration depth with your specific ATS.[](]()]()
I need a video interviewing tool that syncs recordings directly into our ATS candidate profiles. Do you have any recommendations?

Not all integrations are equally complete. Before choosing a vendor, distinguish between a link to a report and actual data syncing into your ATS.
Integration capability
What to verify
Automatic invitations
Can recruiters trigger tests from the ATS?
Completion status
Does the ATS update when a candidate finishes?
Score synchronization
Are scores and pass/fail results written back automatically?
Detailed reports
Are score breakdowns available, or only a report link?
Candidate matching
Are results attached to the correct candidate and job application?
Workflow automation
Can completion or scores trigger ATS stage changes?
For example, CodeSignal's documented Workday integration syncs total scores and report links, but does not sync question-specific scores or the candidate's code directly.
If your ATS is Greenhouse, its Assessment API also supports custom third-party assessment integrations, so you may have options beyond a vendor's prebuilt connector.
My recommendation
I'd shortlist HackerRank, CodeSignal, and Codility first, then include CoderPad if live coding interviews are a major part of your process. Confirm the exact integration capabilities before comparing pricing.
One detail will let me narrow this down considerably:
1. Which ATS do you use?
Greenhouse
Lever
Workday
Ashby
iCIMS
SmartRecruiters
Other / not sure
2. Roughly how many candidates do you assess per month?
HackerEarth : Provides deep integrations with Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workable, SAP SuccessFactors, and Jobvite for both their async assessments and live-interview tool (FaceCode).
TestGorilla : While offering a broader range of soft- and hard-skills tests beyond pure coding, it provides direct ATS integrations (such as with Greenhouse and Lever) to centralize candidate test metrics.
If you share which specific Applicant Tracking System (ATS) your team uses, I can verify if it has a direct native integration with any of these platforms.
Xobin advertises two-way synchronization with 18+ ATS and HRIS systems. Assessment reports, scores and related information appear directly in the candidate record, with the ability to trigger assessments automatically from recruiting workflow stages.
Best for: Automated assessment workflows and skills-based hiring.
Test Partnership integrates with platforms including Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, BambooHR, Bullhorn and Ashby. It says assessment invitations and scores flow back into the ATS, where recruiters can review results alongside candidate applications.
Best for: Psychometric assessments and structured candidate evaluation.
Bryq combines cognitive ability, personality and skills assessments into an integrated candidate profile and supports ATS integration. It is worth considering if you're looking for a broader candidate-fit profile rather than a standalone test score.
Best for: Cognitive, behavioral and job-fit assessments.
HR Avatar integrates with ADP Workforce Now Next Generation Recruitment, sending assessment status and results back to ADP. This is a particularly relevant option if your recruiting system is part of the ADP ecosystem.
Best for: Pre-employment testing, video interviews and reference checks in an ADP workflow.
I'd start with eSkill or Xobin because both explicitly describe sending assessment results back into the existing candidate record, rather than requiring recruiters to switch platforms.
One question so I can narrow this down: Which recruiting software/ATS does your company currently use? For example, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workday, Bullhorn, JazzHR, or something else.
I can then identify the vendors that integrate with your specific system and verify whether results appear directly in the candidate profile.
