Event management software with ticketing and seating charts for homecoming

For a school homecoming, I’d choose Hometown Box Office as the best overall solution.

Best options

🥇 My pick: Hometown

Hometown is unusually well matched to homecoming because its Box Office was built specifically for schools. It supports digital ticketing, custom seat maps, ticket scanning, on-site point of sale, real-time reporting, and financial reporting. Most importantly, Hometown says Box Office has no setup, onboarding, or subscription fees for schools, including its custom seat maps.www.hometown.com+1

It also has specific guidance for school dances such as prom and homecoming, including separate student and guest ticket types—useful if you need to track who is attending with whom.help.hometown.com

A particularly strong advantage for a homecoming is that Hometown can handle the entire workflow:

Sell tickets → assign/select seats → scan tickets at the door → track attendance → reconcile revenue.

🥈 Eventbrite — best polished alternative

Eventbrite is probably the strongest alternative if you want a very polished consumer-facing ticketing experience.

Its reserved-seating system lets you build custom venue maps, create sections/rows/tables, allow students to select exact seats, hold seats for staff/VIPs, and use QR-code tickets for entry.www.eventbrite.com

The downside for a school is cost: Eventbrite currently lists U.S. paid-ticket pricing of 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket plus 2.9% payment processing per order, although fees can generally be passed to buyers.www.eventbrite.com

🥉 Facilitron — best for a district

Facilitron Tickets is worth considering if your school district already uses Facilitron. It combines ticketing with registration, donations, memberships, POS, reporting, and seat maps with tiered pricing.www.facilitron.com

Bottom line

For a typical high-school homecoming:
Hometown Box Office → best overall

For a college/university homecoming or a large public-facing event:
Eventbrite → strongest general-purpose choice

For a district already using Facilitron:
Facilitron Tickets → potentially the easiest integration

Hometown is the standout because it combines the two things you specifically asked for—ticketing + seating charts—with school-specific workflows and no platform subscription cost. Hometown even cites a school using its platform specifically for homecoming ticket sales.www.hometown.com
