WhyHunger connects and invests in grassroots solutions to hunger and poverty that nourish people and enrich communities, working to build just and equitable food systems worldwide and in the U.S. Its programs, including the Grassroots Action Network, partner with community leaders and organizations to support capacity building, organizing, and elevating collective power to address the root causes of hunger. It also runs the WhyHunger Hotline and Find Food Database, connecting people in need to local food pantries, soup kitchens, meal sites, and nutrition programs while mobilizing artists and campaigns to raise funds and awareness.
