How AI describes Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System

The Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) provides training and professional development resources for Wisconsin child welfare professionals, including caseworkers, caregivers, supervisors, and youth justice staff. It offers web-based courses, learning collaboratives, mandated reporter training, conferences, and specialized topics such as human trafficking awareness and safety planning, available in online, hybrid, or in-person formats. It is a collaboration among UW–Madison and UW–Milwaukee, with partner organizations including the Wisconsin Counties Human Service Association and the Intertribal Child Welfare Training Partnership, supported by UW–Madison’s Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work and UW–Milwaukee’s Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
