The Center for Value-Based Insurance Design (V-BID Center) promotes the development, implementation, and evaluation of health benefit designs that balance cost and quality. It is a multidisciplinary team that originated the V-BID concept and guides its adoption across private and public sectors, with initiatives on low-value care, cancer screening, obesity management, drug costs, and HSAs/HDHPs. The center disseminates research and policy resources through publications, videos, webinars, and events, and tracks policy developments (such as ACA provisions, Inflation Reduction Act, and Medicare Advantage) to inform payers and policymakers.
