What AI says about Underscores

Underscores, or _s, is a WordPress starter theme intended for developers to hack and customize, not to be used as a parent theme. It provides lean, well-commented HTML5 templates, an optional sample header, custom template tags and functions, a mobile-friendly navigation script, and two starter CSS layouts to speed theme development. Licensed under GPLv2 or later and maintained by Automattic, Underscores serves as an open-source boilerplate for building WordPress themes.
