The HELK (Hunting ELK) is an open-source threat-hunting platform built on the ELK stack, adding advanced analytics such as a SQL declarative language, graphing, structured streaming, and machine learning via Jupyter notebooks and Apache Spark. It provides a complete deployable environment with core components—Kafka, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana—and optional features like KSQL, ElastAlert, and Sigma, designed to scale from research to larger deployments and enable data science workflows.
