What AI says about Siberian Husky Club of America

The Siberian Husky Club of America (SHCA) is the AKC-recognized national breed club for the Siberian Husky, founded in 1938, with members including breeders, exhibitors, fanciers, and sled-dog racing enthusiasts. Its mission is to bring the natural qualities of the purebred Siberian Husky to perfection through purposeful breeding, protect and advance the breed through a code of ethics, and educate members to adhere to the AKC Siberian Husky standard. SHCA also supports genetic testing and research for the breed, funded by the SHCA Trust, including projects on diseases such as Shaking Puppy Syndrome Type 1 (SPS1) and Siberian Husky Polyneuropathy Type 1 (SHPN1), and promotes related health testing and education.
