What AI says about Roof Above Day Services Center

Roof Above is a Charlotte-based nonprofit formed in 2019 by merging Urban Ministry Center and Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, delivering homelessness services and housing solutions to about 1,400 people daily. It follows a Housing First, low-barrier model—providing day services (including a soup kitchen), year-round emergency shelter, short-term and transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and integrated substance-use treatment with housing when needed. The organization emphasizes community involvement and volunteers, measuring success by housing placements, time-to-housing, and reductions in returning to homelessness.
