How AI describes Resiliency Center

Resiliency Center is a permanent, storm-hardened hub and headquarters for a coalition of nonprofits, led by Rebuilding Together New Orleans and United Way of Southeast Louisiana, focused on disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and community resilience in Southeast Louisiana. It provides a shared space where partner organizations can coordinate programs—from disaster preparedness and financial stability to affordable housing and education—and offers community workshops and services, including free tax preparation through United Way's VITA program. Designed to function off-grid with concrete construction, solar panels, and Tesla Powerwalls, the center can serve as an emergency operations hub for on-site supply staging, volunteer deployment, and direct aid distribution during disasters.
