People Helping Paws Dog Rescue (PHPDR) is a Missouri-based dog rescue that fosters hard-to-place and medically needy dogs—particularly bully breeds—to prevent euthanasia and place them in loving homes. It began as a local pet food pantry and basic veterinary support, evolving into an official rescue in 2012 and has saved over a thousand pets while serving Jefferson City, Columbia, St. Louis and surrounding areas. The organization relies on donations and volunteers and offers adoption and foster programs, with downloadable adoption and foster applications.
