OrcaLab is a non-profit marine research project on Hanson Island that uses remote hydrophones and cameras to observe and listen to Northern Resident orcas and other cetaceans, guided by a Do No Harm philosophy. It maintains more than 60,000 hours of acoustic data over about 50 square kilometers of habitat, streams live audio and video 365 days a year, and relies on 300+ volunteers and donor support.
