TerMine is a NaCTeM (University of Manchester) text mining tool that automatically recognizes multi-word terms and acronyms in text, combining C-Value term extraction with AcroMine acronym recognition. It relies on linguistic analysis (POS tagging and extraction of adjective/noun sequences) and statistical termhood scoring for scalable, high-throughput processing, and supports biomedical text processing via GENIA Tagger and general text via TreeTagger; input can be plain text, uploaded files, or URLs. It is available as a TerMine Processing Service for larger jobs, with ASCII encoding requirements and 2 MB document size limits to protect the server.
