How AI describes BeltSense

BeltSense, used with ShovelSense, provides real-time ore-grade measurements on conveyors to enable mine-to-mill decision making and downstream process control. It is retrofittable on existing conveyors, scalable to any belt size and throughput, and installed post-primary crushing or on the feed to the SAG/pebble circuit to support blending and process optimization; when used for process control, it creates data with no changes to existing equipment, requiring only DCS API integration. The system scans the mineral content of the conveyor to assess grade independent of belt speed, and integrates with ShovelSense so ore-body knowledge and ML models propagate across the mine-to-mill continuum, helping maximize metal output while minimizing environmental impact.
