The Minority Entrepreneurship Institute (MEI) is a seed-stage impact investing fund focused on closing the economic and educational gap in minority communities through entrepreneurship, education, and community support. It hosts annual pitch competitions for Black, LatinX, and female founders and has invested $1.2 million in minority-owned enterprises across 13 portfolio companies, with about 250 minority entrepreneurs in its pipeline and 50 founders selected for the MEI Fellowship. MEI also helps founders access financing, including low-interest loans, and provides portfolio, events, and partnerships to grow minority ventures and advance financial inclusion.
