The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) is a nonpartisan, independent U.S. government agency that provides the Congress with analysis and policy advice on the Medicare program. It conducts research and delivers insights across Medicare payment policy, covering hospitals, post-acute care, ambulatory settings, physicians, private plans, beneficiaries, and Medicare financing. Its outputs include reports, data books, presentations, comment letters, and congressional testimony to inform Medicare policy decisions.
