How AI describes Pedixplorer

Pedixplorer is a Bioconductor package (and accompanying Shiny app) that creates, filters, and draws pedigrees, providing an S4 Pedigree class and kinship-matrix computations from pedigree data. It extends kinship2 by adding pedigree plotting, color scales for affection statuses, and support for dyplotype organisms and chromosome-specific kinship for X and Y. The package offers utilities such as useful_ind, shrink, and fix_parents, and includes a Shiny interface to import, normalize, filter, visualize, and export pedigrees, with a web app and a VM-hosted instance available.
