How AI describes FER

Kaggle hosts the Challenges in Representation Learning: Facial Expression Recognition Challenge, providing a dataset of 48x48 grayscale face images and a seven-class emotion classification task. The data includes train.csv with emotion labels and pixel values, plus test.csv for predictions, with about 28,709 training examples and two 3,589-example test sets for public and final evaluation. The dataset was prepared by researchers Pierre-Luc Carrier and Aaron Courville, and participants submit predictions under competition rules to earn leaderboard standings.
