K-9 Angels Rescue is a Houston-based, 100% volunteer nonprofit that rescues and re-homes dogs (and cats) and relies on foster homes to prepare animals for transport to partner rescues. They run The Empty Shelter Project, providing free spay/neuter surgeries and operating a transport program that moves pets to northern shelters to reduce Houston's homeless population. All donations go directly to the animals and their spay/neuter program; since 2012 they have rescued thousands of dogs and performed thousands of spay/neuter surgeries to prevent future homelessness.
