How AI describes Hands Across The Water

Hands Across the World provides free plastic and reconstructive surgical care, training, education, and sustainability programs to children in developing countries, delivered by a volunteer team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, therapists, and staff. In 20 years they have treated over 2,000 children for hand abnormalities, birth defects (including cleft lip/palate), tumors, and burn scar contractures, and they plan to expand access through partnerships and mobile outreach using a mobile hospital system called tinyOR. It is funded entirely by donations, maintains very low overhead so that more than 95% of funds go to patient care, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with tax-deductible contributions.
