GLAD Forest Alerts operates two near-real-time forest loss alert systems: GLAD-L uses Landsat to map canopy loss across the tropics at 30 m resolution, and GLAD-S2 uses Sentinel-2 to map loss in the primary humid tropical forest within the Amazon basin at 10 m. The alerts serve as conservative, event-based indicators to aid forest management and enforcement and complement the annual Global Forest Watch product. Data are publicly accessible via Global Forest Watch and GLAD pages, with Google Earth Engine access and support via [email protected].
