What AI says about Next Door (Code for Romania)

Next Door / MyHood is a community platform (web app and native mobile app) that aims to grow neighborhood networks and increase interaction and mutual support among people living in the same ZIP code, especially during emergencies. It allows users to join a hood, see neighbors, discuss in groups or direct messages, receive updates from public authorities and utilities, post offers and requests for help, and view directories of useful contacts and information. The project is volunteer-built, using Java 11 with Spring on the backend and React on the frontend, with MySQL as the database, and it plans to add features like listing local businesses, events, and joint activities in a future release.
