Burrow is an open-source monitoring companion for Apache Kafka that provides consumer lag checking as a service without thresholds. It monitors committed offsets for all consumer groups and computes their status on demand. It exposes an HTTP endpoint to request status and retrieve cluster information, and supports configurable notifiers (e.g., email or HTTP callbacks) to alert on status.
