Krawl is a lightweight, cloud-native web deception server (honeypot) that creates fake web applications with low-hanging vulnerabilities and realistic, randomly generated decoy data to detect and track malicious activity from attackers and web crawlers. It uses deceptive pages, fake credentials, and canary tokens to mislead intruders and provides a customizable dashboard for monitoring. The project is open-source (MIT) and offers a public demo at http://demo for exploration.
AI named Krawl from January 2026 to March 2026.
