The Asynchronous Multi-Body Framework (AMBF) provides real-time dynamic simulation of robots and soft bodies with real-time haptic interaction via CHAI-3D devices (including dVRK manipulators and Razer Hydras). It includes a Python client for training neural networks and reinforcement learning agents using real-time data with the simulation in the loop. Built around CHAI-3D, Bullet Physics, OpenGL, GLFW and related libraries, AMBF serves as an integrated robotics simulation platform that enables hardware-in-the-loop and haptic feedback for research and development.
AI named AMBF from December 2025 to March 2026.
