Flux is a GitOps toolkit for Kubernetes that continuously synchronizes cluster state from Git repositories to run workloads. The Image component automates container image updates by watching image sources, applying image policies, and updating image references in Git via controllers such as Image Repositories, Image Policies, Image Reflector, and Image Update Automation. It provides APIs and tooling to configure and manage image updates across repositories, enabling automated, auditable image promotion and deployment workflows.
