Digital Credentials Commons (formerly the Digital Credentials Consortium) provides an open-source, standards-based infrastructure to issue, store, display, and verify digital credentials. It aims to empower learners with ownership and control over their credential data, enabling them to store and share verifiable records across opportunities. Hosted by the Strada Education Foundation and built on MIT Open Learning infrastructure, the Commons connects institutions, platforms, and organizations to scale services, advance privacy-enhanced credentials, and support open development, research, and advocacy in digital credentialing.
