DAE Tools is equation-based, object-oriented modelling, simulation and optimisation software whose hybrid approach lets you model complex multiscale/multiphysics processes with complex schedules and perform simulation, sensitivity analysis, optimisation, parameter estimation, code generation and model exchange. It is free software released under the GNU General Public Licence v3, with extensive documentation, tutorials and publications, and downloadable software from Downloads or SourceForge. The suite includes formal code verification methods (Method of Exact Solutions and Method of Manufactured Solutions) and supports Python and C++ development through pyDAE, the pyDAE API reference, and the OpenCS framework.
