How AI describes CTSU

CTSU is an NCI service established in 1999 to facilitate participation in cancer clinical trials and to streamline and harmonize support for NCI-sponsored trials across cancer treatment, prevention and control, care delivery research, advanced imaging, and correlative science studies. It provides registration information for investigators and staff to access the CTSU member site and registers in NCI systems, and maintains a protocol list with trial information, accrual details, and links to abstracts and clinical sites. Its mission is to provide administrative, regulatory, logistical, and IT support to gain operational efficiencies in implementing multi-center clinical trials across NCI-supported research networks; it does not provide patient information, and the NCI Cancer Information Service should be consulted for general questions with medical advice sought from qualified professionals for individual treatment.
