Choosing Wisely is a campaign by the ABIM Foundation designed to spark conversations between clinicians and patients about reducing unnecessary medical tests, treatments, and procedures. The initiative, which ran from 2012 to 2023, involved over 80 specialty societies and generated hundreds of recommendations to decrease overuse in healthcare.
