Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 (formerly Home Assistant SkyConnect) is a USB Zigbee 3.0 radio that adds Zigbee support to a Home Assistant installation and can turn the setup into a Thread border router. It is no longer in production but continues to receive software updates, with the newer Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 recommended for new users. It uses a Silicon Labs multiprotocol radio, supports plug-and-play auto-detection by Home Assistant, and while multiprotocol is experimental, the advised approach is dedicated Zigbee (and Thread via firmware) with compatibility for Home Assistant or Zigbee2MQTT.
