If you need a costume for a party soon, I'd start with a local Halloween store for the biggest selection, or a thrift store if you want something unique without spending much. Since it's October 15, 2026, I'd prioritize places where you can shop in person and try things on rather than risk slow shipping.
Here are the best places to look, including options around Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Best places to shop for Halloween costumes
1. Spirit Halloween — best overall selection
2801 Wilma Rudolph Blvd, Clarksville, TN
A seasonal Halloween shop with costumes, masks, wigs, props, and character outfits. A good first stop if you want a complete costume without assembling it yourself.
Clarksville, Tennessee
2. Goodwill Kentucky — best on a budget
2624 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY
Look for vintage jackets, dresses, plaid shirts, hats, and other clothing you can turn into a creative costume. Inventory varies, so visit with a few ideas in mind.
3.
Walmart Supercenter — convenient one-stop shop
300 Clinic Dr, Hopkinsville, KY
Worth checking for affordable costume sets, makeup, masks, and accessories. Check local stock or pickup availability before heading out.
4. Thrifty Threads and More — best for a DIY look
113 Susan Ave, Hopkinsville, KY
Another local thrift option for building a one-of-a-kind outfit, especially if you're going for retro, glam, or a funny character costume.
