Winlink Global Radio Email is a worldwide network of amateur radio and authorized government stations that delivers email via radio pathways where the internet is not present. The system is built, operated, and administered entirely by licensed amateur radio volunteers and can operate completely offline using smart-network radio relays, supporting email with attachments, position reporting, weather bulletins, and emergency/disaster-relief communications. Access requires a valid amateur radio license or government authorization, and users connect through client software (such as Winlink Express) to a [email protected] address; the project is supported by the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation, Inc., a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
