Sharp is a high-performance Node.js image processing library that uses libvips to resize, rotate, extract, and composite large images into web-friendly formats such as JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, and TIFF. It supports reading input from JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, TIFF and SVG, and can output to those formats or as uncompressed raw pixel data, with input and output via streams, Buffers, or the filesystem and with support for multi-pipeline processing. It targets Node-API environments (Node.js >= 20.9.0, Deno, Bun) and runs with minimal dependencies on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
