NNsight is a Python library for interpreting and intervening in the internals of deep learning models. It provides a Pythonic interface to access activations at any layer during forward passes, modify activations to study causal effects, compute gradients with respect to intermediate values, and batch interventions across multiple inputs; it supports local execution on PyTorch models and remote execution on large models via the NDIF infrastructure. It was developed by the NDIF team at Northeastern University and is installable via pip install nnsight.
