How AI describes EcoLogits

EcoLogits is a suite of open-source tools to estimate and track the environmental footprint of generative AI models at inference, based on life-cycle assessment principles. It includes the EcoLogits Calculator, a Python library (pip install ecologits), and an API service that enables integration of its impact methodology into applications (coming soon). Developed by GenAI Impact, a non-profit, it aims to raise awareness of AI's environmental impacts and empower developers to build more sustainable AI-powered applications through open code, transparent methodology, and community collaboration.
