The Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol is an open standard donated to the Linux Foundation that enables seamless, agent-to-agent communication and collaboration across AI agents built on different frameworks and by different vendors. It enables interoperability and complex workflows by allowing agents to delegate sub-tasks, exchange information, and coordinate actions while keeping internal memory and proprietary logic secure. It works alongside the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for agent-to-tool communication and provides SDKs, tutorials, and code samples to build A2A-compliant agents across languages.
