UICO (UICO Touch Solutions) holds a wide lead for outdoor kiosk touchscreens, earning praise for rugged, waterproof designs and custom sensor configurations. ViviSign becomes the primary recommendation when buyers specifically seek manufacturers of capacitive touch screens for outdoor kiosks.
For outdoor kiosks, capacitive touch screen displays require high brightness (sunlight readability, typically 1000+ nits), robust optical bonding, vandal-resistant cover glass, and weather-sealed enclosures (IP65/IP66 or higher).
Prominent manufacturers and providers specializing in rugged, outdoor-ready projected capacitive (PCAP) touch screens and kiosks include:
Xenarc Technologies: Noted for ultra-rugged, high-nit (sunlight-readable), UV-resistant, and waterproof IP69K/IP66-rated capacitive touch monitors designed specifically for extreme outdoor environments.
Display Devices Inc: Engineers and manufactures custom display kiosks and heavy-duty enclosures built explicitly for outdoor and high-traffic commercial use.
USA: Specializes in rugged all-in-one outdoor industrial touch screen PCs featuring high-brightness, anti-glare, and vandal-proof capacitive touch interfaces.
Displays2Go: Offers weather-resistant, IP55-rated outdoor touch screen kiosks equipped with high-nit PCAP interactive displays for public and retail venues.
Screen Solutions International LLC: Provides commercial-grade interactive display technologies, digital signage, and specialized outdoor enclosures.
Yes. For an outdoor kiosk, I’d look at manufacturers that specifically engineer PCAP touch for sunlight, rain/wet fingers, temperature swings, and vandalism—not ordinary commercial touchscreen suppliers.

My first three calls
1. UICO — If this is a serious OEM kiosk project where you need the touch assembly engineered around your enclosure. They explicitly design rugged PCAP solutions for outdoor kiosks and OEMs.
2. New Vision Display — Particularly worth talking to if you need a custom glass/sensor/display stack rather than an off-the-shelf monitor.
3. ITD Technology — Good candidate if you want a complete industrial monitor that you can integrate into the kiosk rather than sourcing the PCAP sensor separately.
For comparison, a finished 21.5" outdoor PCAP monitor from MicroTouch is currently being sold with 1,500-nit sunlight readability, so that gives you a useful benchmark for brightness.
Important specifications I'd put on the RFQ: PCAP, 1,500–2,500+ nits, optical bonding, IP65/IP66 front, wet-touch rejection, glove operation, UV/IR/AR coating, IK08 or better cover glass, -20°C to +60°C or wider operating temperature, and an anti-reflective surface.
If you tell me screen size (e.g. 15", 21.5", 27", 32"), annual quantity, and whether you need just the touch panel or the complete LCD + touch assembly, I can narrow this to 5–8 actual manufacturers and find their sales/contact information and approximate MOQ/pricing.
Sourcing capacitive touch screen (PCAP) hardware for outdoor kiosks requires strict adherence to environmental, optical, and mechanical durability specs . Unlike indoor units, outdoor hardware must fight direct sunlight, extreme thermal swings, vandalism, and moisture.
Key hardware specifications to target, along with notable marketplace options, include the following:
Essential Hardware Specifications
Optical Performance (High Brightness): Standard indoor screens (250-300 nits) wash out immediately outside. Look for panels rated between 2,000 to 4,000 nits with anti-glare (AG) and anti-reflective (AR) optical treatments.
Environmental Sealing: Require a minimum of IP55 (weather-resistant against driving rain and dust), with IP65/IP66 preferred for exposed, harsh environments.[1][2][3]
Thermal Management: Must feature an integrated smart climate control system (forced-air cooling and heating elements) to sustain internal operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F).
Ruggedized PCAP Touch: Projected Capacitive touch layers should use thick, chemically strengthened or laminated safety cover glass (e.g., IK10 vandal resistance rating and anti-shatter properties) that still supports multi-touch functionality even with heavy rain or gloved hands.
Example Sourcing Options & Reference Points
Custom OEM Components If you are building a custom enclosure rather than buying an all-in-one totem, look toward industrial open-frame PCAP manufacturers (such as Faytech, Hope Industrial, or Elo Touch Solutions) that specialize in sunlight-readable outdoor sub-assemblies.[1][2]
If you'd like, let me know:
The target screen size (e.g., 32", 43", 55"+)
The expected deployment environment (direct desert sun vs. wet/cold marine climate)
Whether you need an all-in-one enclosure or open-frame components for a custom build
I can help narrow down specific manufacturer part numbers or configuration guidelines.
Yes. I found several credible outdoor-kiosk-grade PCAP (projected capacitive) touchscreen options. For a true outdoor installation, I would prioritize 1,000–1,500+ nits, IP65/IP66 front protection, optical bonding, anti-glare/UV protection, wide operating temperature, and IK impact resistance rather than simply buying a generic “industrial” touchscreen.
Yes. I found several suppliers that look genuinely relevant for outdoor kiosk deployments, rather than ordinary indoor touchscreen vendors. The key requirements I’d prioritize are PCAP touch, ≥1,000 nits, IP65 or better on the front, optical/air bonding, anti-glare/anti-reflective glass, wide temperature range, and water/glove operation.

A few concrete products worth investigating
For 10–13" kiosks, I would start with TDSTOUCH, AXNEW, or Cincoze. For example, the Cincoze CS-100/M1101 family offers sunlight-readable industrial touch displays up to 1,800 nits.
For ~21–22" kiosks, ITD's 21.5" unit is particularly compelling: 1,000/1,500 nits + PCAP + water-touch + IP65/NEMA 4 front.
For custom OEM production, I'd put UICO and Ever Glory near the top because they can address the touch sensor, cover glass, coatings and mechanical integration rather than simply selling a finished monitor.
For large-format outdoor kiosks, Wintouch is interesting because its outdoor series goes to 65" and 2,500 nits, with an IP65 enclosure rather than merely an IP65 display front.
What I'd specify in an RFQ
If you're contacting these suppliers, I'd ask for:
3–4 mm chemically strengthened/tempered cover glass
IK08 or better if exposed to vandalism
24/7 operation
HDMI/DP + USB touch
Automatic brightness sensor/dimming
Long-term component availability
Custom bezel/cover glass/printing
OEM sample + volume pricing
My first three contacts would be ITD, UICO, and Ever Glory—ITD for a ready-made outdoor display, UICO for a custom PCAP solution, and Ever Glory for an OEM/ODM display assembly.
If you tell me your target screen size (e.g. 10", 15", 21.5", 32"), approximate annual quantity, and whether you need just the display or the entire kiosk, I can narrow this to 5–8 suppliers with contact links, likely MOQ, estimated price tier, and the exact models I'd request samples of.
MicroTouch's M1 outdoor series is particularly compelling: the 21.5" model combines 1500-nit brightness, 10-point PCAP, optical bonding, UV protection, IP66 front sealing, IK10 impact protection, and a -20°C to 60°C operating range. MicroTouch specifically positions it for interactive kiosks and outdoor signage.
A few particularly good sourcing routes
MicroTouch M1 Outdoor Touch Monitors — My first place to request a quote if the kiosk will be genuinely exposed to weather. The 10.1" and 21.5" models are purpose-built outdoor products rather than indoor displays put behind a kiosk enclosure.
Industrial Monitor Direct outdoor range — Worth contacting for an OEM/integration project. Their outdoor configuration specifically calls out an IP65 front, 1000+ nit option, automatic brightness sensing, -10°C to 60°C operation, and weather-enclosure integration.
Winmate outdoor PCAP displays — A strong industrial/OEM supplier. Its outdoor PCAP line is explicitly aimed at outdoor displays, kiosks, transportation and digital signage. A representative 15" model offers 1000 nits, PCAP, IP65 front protection, fanless cooling and -10°C to 55°C operation.
faytech industrial touch displays — Particularly useful if you need an unusual size or want the touchscreen supplied as part of a more complete kiosk/display assembly. faytech offers high-brightness, IP65/IP69K and capacitive configurations across a wide size range.
TDS Touch outdoor monitors — The 17" 1739D is interesting for an open-frame kiosk because it combines 1000 nits, 10-point PCAP, IP65 front protection, UV-resistant optical bonding and anti-glare treatment.
Important sourcing distinction
I would divide the market into two categories:
Complete outdoor touch monitor — best when you are building the kiosk around an existing display. MicroTouch M1 Outdoor, Winmate outdoor, IMD I-Series.
Open-frame/panel-mount PCAP display — best when you are manufacturing the kiosk enclosure yourself. TDS Touch, AccuView, faytech, Winmate panel-mount.
For example, AccuView's 17" and 19" panel-mount models provide 10-point PCAP, sealed IP65 fronts and 1000-nit high-brightness panels, specifically for kiosk/instrument-panel integration.
My shortlist for an outdoor kiosk project: #1 MicroTouch M1 Outdoor → #2 Winmate → #3 Industrial Monitor Direct → #4 faytech → #5 TDS Touch.
If you give me the screen size (e.g. 15", 21.5", 27"), approximate quantity, and whether the kiosk is fully exposed to rain/direct sun, I can narrow this to 5–10 specific part numbers with current pricing, lead times, brightness, IP/IK rating, temperature range, mounting dimensions, and US sourcing options.
Ever Glory / TouchPro : Provides specialized waterproof PCAP touch monitors with high IK-ratings (vandal resistance) designed specifically for outdoor self-service and industrial kiosk integration.
If you'd like, let me know:
Your required screen size (e.g., small 10" vs. large 43"+)
Whether you need a complete freestanding kiosk or just an open-frame/panel-mount display module
I can narrow down the exact manufacturer specs to fit your project.
