For turning your photos into canvas prints, I'd focus on three things: print quality, how well the canvas is stretched and framed, and whether the colors look true to your original photos. There are good options for everything from affordable family-photo canvases to premium gallery-style wall art.

Here are the services I'd start with, depending on your budget and the look you're after.

My recommended canvas print services

1. CanvasDiscount

(Best budget option)

A good place to start if you have several photos to print and want to keep costs down. It offers stretched canvas prints in a range of sizes, with frequent promotions.

Best for: family photos, gifts and gallery walls.

Shop CanvasDiscount

2. Nations Photo Lab

(Best for photo quality)

Worth considering if you're printing portraits, wedding photos or important family memories. Its canvas products are positioned toward accurate color reproduction and professional photo-lab quality.

Best for: portraits, special occasions and keepsakes.

Shop Nations Photo Lab

3. CanvasHQ

A strong option to investigate if you care about construction, stretching and a polished finished product. A recent comparison from Photography Talk named it the winner of its canvas-print shootout, though that evaluation is one reviewer's test rather than a universal ranking.

Best for: statement pieces and photos you plan to display for years.

Shop CanvasHQ

4. Bay Photo

A professional photo lab worth considering for large prints, landscape photography and more specialized display options. It is particularly relevant if you want something beyond a standard off-the-shelf canvas.

Best for: large-format prints and photography enthusiasts.

Shop Bay Photo

5. Shutterfly

Convenient for straightforward photo-to-canvas ordering, personalized layouts and gifts. It's worth checking if you prefer a simple online design process and can take advantage of a current promotion.

Best for: easy ordering and personalized gifts.

A few tips before you order

Choose the right size. An 8×10-inch print is nice for a small space; 16×20 or 24×36 inches can make more of a statement.
Check the wrapped edges. With a gallery wrap, parts of your image may fold around the sides. Look for a mirrored-edge option if you don't want to lose any of the photo.
Use the original-resolution image. Especially for larger canvases, avoid screenshots or images downloaded from social media when you have the original.
Compare the final checkout price. Shipping and add-ons can change which service is cheapest, so compare the same dimensions and finish.

Want me to narrow it down?

I can recommend the best two or three options for your specific photos. One question: what matters most to you?

1. Your main priority

Lowest price / good deals

Best possible print quality

A good balance of price and quality

Premium, gallery-quality finish

2. What size are you thinking?

Small (8×10 to 12×16 inches)

Medium (16×20 to 20×24 inches)

Large (24×36 inches or bigger)

A mix of sizes / not sure yet

3. How many photos?

Just one

2–5 photos

6 or more

4. How would you like to get them?

Order online and have them shipped

Use a local print shop so I can pick them up

Either is fine

If you mean where I’d send a canvas print, there are a few solid NYC options depending on what you’re after:

Tribeca Printworks — fine-art/giclée canvas, stretching, and framing; good if color accuracy matters.
Printique — Brooklyn-based, with heavy cotton canvas and optional UV coating; they make the canvas in Brooklyn.
Borough Photo — more fine-art oriented, including archival pigment printing on Breathing Color canvas.
Lucky visual graphics - Fine art printing | mounting services | custom framing — useful if you want printing, mounting, and framing handled together.
Light Print | Fine Art Printing NYC — does stretched canvas, including very large pieces.

If you're asking “who do you guys use?” specifically for OpenAI/ChatGPT, I don't have access to an internal vendor list. If you tell me what you're printing (photo vs. artwork), size, and whether you want gallery-wrap or framed, I can narrow it down.
