The "best" CPE subscription depends heavily on your learning style, how you prefer to knock out your hours (live webcasts vs. self-study), and your budget. The top-tier unlimited CPE subscriptions stand out for helping accountants keep their licenses current smoothly:

1. Surgent CPE
- Best For: Sheer volume of live webinars and customizable learning.
- Why it wins: Surgent's Unlimited PLUS tier ($899) grants access to a massive catalog of over 10,000 credits. They host an industry-leading number of live webinars (over 2,300 a year) scheduled across various time zones, including nights and weekends. Their adaptive technology also assesses what you already know to shorten course time if you choose self-study.

1. Becker CPE
- Best For: Premium, video-heavy, structured learning and brand familiarity.
- Why it wins: Widely recognized from the CPA exam prep side, Becker’s unlimited packages offer a first-class multimedia experience. It is ideal if you prefer engaging video lectures over reading dense text PDFs, and it features a seamless compliance tracker to log your state requirements. It sits at a higher price point (around $699–$899+ depending on promotions and tier), but is often worth it if your firm reimburses the cost.

1. myCPE
- Best For: Budget-friendly, multi-credential tracking (CPA, EA, CMA, etc.) via a modern app interface.
- Why it wins: Offers a very competitive annual unlimited subscription model (often hundreds less than Becker or Surgent), with a robust library of self-study and live webinars. It's exceptionally user-friendly and great if you need specialized or niche accounting/tax topics without paying enterprise-level pricing.
- Check it out: Compare plans on myCPE.
1. CPAacademy.org
- Best For: Free or low-cost live webinars.
- Why it wins: While not a traditional "all-inclusive premium pre-paid subscription" in the same vein as Surgent or Becker, they offer a massive repository of free and low-cost live daily webinars. If you are freelancing or your firm has zero CPE budget, you can knock out a shocking amount of valid NASBA-approved credits here for little to no cost.
- Check it out: Browse upcoming sessions on CPAacademy.

1Becker Prime
2myCPE

If you’re a U.S. CPA, I’d narrow it to three subscription models rather than paying for individual courses:

Provider	Current published price	Particularly useful for
Becker Prime	$799/year	Broad coverage + compliance tracking + live and on-demand CPE
Surgent Unlimited PLUS	$899/year	Very large live-webinar selection and multiple learning formats
MYCPE ONE	$199/year	Keeping costs very low while getting a large, broad catalog

My practical take

Becker Prime is probably the easiest all-around choice if your priority is simply, “Give me one subscription that makes keeping my CPA license current straightforward.” Its current plan includes 700+ on-demand courses, 1,000+ annual webcasts, state-specific ethics courses, technical-update courses, and a compliance tracker.

Surgent Unlimited PLUS is particularly attractive if you like attending live CPE. It currently advertises 10,000+ available credits, 2,000+ live webinars annually, plus on-demand and self-study options.

MYCPE ONE is the budget-oriented option. Its published 2026 price is $199/year, with a very broad catalog and multiple professional credentials. The tradeoff is that the breadth comes partly from covering many professions rather than concentrating exclusively on CPA/accounting content.

One important point: the cheapest subscription isn't necessarily the cheapest way to stay licensed if you only need, say, 20–40 hours every year or two. An unlimited plan makes more economic sense when you'll actually use a substantial number of credits.

Also, your state board's rules matter more than the provider's marketing. For example, Kentucky requires specific CPE quantities, technical-standards hours, ethics, and—depending on your practice—accounting/auditing hours.

If you tell me your state (and whether you're a CPA, CMA, EA, etc.), I can compare the 3–5 best subscriptions specifically against your license requirements and tell you which features you'd actually need.
