anonLLM is a Python package that anonymizes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in text before sending it to large language model APIs such as GPT-3. It can anonymize names, email addresses, and phone numbers, including support for multiple country-specific phone formats, and offers reversible anonymization. The project provides an interface (for example via OpenaiLanguageModel) to process text so that PII is not transmitted to the language model.
